| Dritsas Promoted to Editor-In-Chief of Dealerscope Magazine
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – PHILADELPHIA, PA — North American Publishing Company, announces the promotion of David Dritsas to Editor-in-Chief of Dealerscope Magazine. As Editor-in-Chief, Dritsas will manage the daily operation of the magazine and its staff, assign and coordinate the magazine's editorial content and represent the magazine at conferences, press events and through association relationships. He will continue to explore and develop new ways to preserve Dealerscope's position as the premier magazine for consumer electronics retailing business and strategy. "David has worked hard for this position. His experience, integrity and commitment to provide CE dealers the most relevant content to their business can be seen in every issue," says Grant Clauser, Editorial Director of the Consumer Technology Publishing Group. In addition to his new role as EIC of Dealerscope, Dritsas will continue to contribute to the other Consumer Technology Publishing Group magazines, Custom Retailer, E-Gear and Picture Business. President and Publisher of the Consumer Technology Publishing Group, Eric Schwartz, is pleased with the new appointment. "In the years David has served with Dealerscope he has proven himself to be an insightful journalist and a detail-minded manager. I have no doubts in his abilities to be a successful Editor-In-Chief," says Schwartz. Dritsas started his career in medical publishing at Lippincott, Williams and Wilkens in 1996. In the fall of 1999, he joined the staff of Dealerscope and E-Gear as an Associate Editor. Dritsas was part of the recreation of Dealerscope Magazine as well as the launch of Custom Retailer. In fall 2000, Dritsas was promoted to Senior Editor and in June 2002 he was made an Editor. Dritsas covers audio, PC, networking and retailing as well as many other topics. He was also responsible for self-starting the coverage of several topics including, Satellite Radio and HD Radio, recognizing that these would be important to the CE industry. Dritsas' goal for Dealerscope is to continue to grow the coverage of the retail community and bring more retail personalities to the magazine. He would also like to increase the coverage of important and potentially controversial topics affecting the industry. "Ever since its redesign in 2001, Dealerscope has done a better job of helping readers understand the issues in CE-tailing and provided them with solutions to solve problems. I will continue that mission and work to improve on what is already a good model for any trade magazine to follow," says Dritsas. Dritsas can be contacted via e-mail at ddritsas@napco.com.
