NAPCO's Consumer Technology Group Expands Publication Roster/Announces Promotion of Eric Schwartz PHILADELPHIA, Pa. (June 25, 2003) - The Consumer Technology Group of the North American Publishing Company (NAPCO), which publishes Dealerscope, E-Gear and Custom Retailer magazines, announces several new publications and services, as well as an expanded frequency. First, the inaugural issue of HTSA Quarterly - a newsletter and industry forum for the members of the Home Theater Specialists of America association - will appear in early September. Also appearing in September will be The Source, a quarterly magazine linking the 2,000-plus dealer members of brick-and-click retail alliance Brand Source. The group also announced that, due to the magazine's considerable success, Custom Retailer will increase its issue frequency in 2004. Custom Retailer was launched at last year's CEDIA EXPO in September as the first publication dedicated to the "c-business" market - the intersection of retail and custom-installed consumer electronics. In addition to its printed products, the Group also recently introduced two electronic newsletters. The weekly e-mail newsletter Consumer Technology Retail Week (CTRW), headed up by Janet Pinkerton, began circulation in April. In mid-May, CE industry veteran Susan Schreiner's bi-weekly source for news analysis, C4 Trends, launched. Overseeing the division is Eric Schwartz, newly appointed president and publisher of the Consumer Technology Group. Schwartz has served as vice president and group publisher for the Group since 2001, and brings with him over 20 years of experience in the consumer electronics arena. "Eric and his entire team are doing a fantastic job. It is with great pride and satisfaction that we are able to provide them with the opportunity to create and build new and exciting services for the consumer technology marketplace," said Ned Borowsky, president of North American Publishing Company. "It's an exciting time to be part of a company that not only recognizes your accomplishments, but rewards them. NAPCO has taken the extra stride and has given me the resources to highlight all my ideas and the excellent corporate support to see them through. I look forward to all our new endeavors throughout 2003 and 2004," said Schwartz. For more information, call (215) 238-5411.
