| Home Furnishings Business Acquires InFurniture
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE (November 6, 2006) CONTACT Amy Kyle Sheila Long O'Mara Home Furnishings Business magazine, published by North American Publishing Co., has acquired InFurniture magazine from Fairchild Publications, Inc. The sale is effective immediately, and InFurniture is being merged into Home Furnishings Business effective with its remaining 2006 issues. Details of the transaction were not disclosed. Home Furnishings Business, which published its first issue in January, is the leading business and strategy publication and the fastest growing publication for home furnishings retailers. InFurniture was founded in 2000 and has been known as the trends magazine for furniture retailers. Amy Kyle, publisher of Home Furnishings Business, was a member of the advertising sales team when InFurniture was introduced to the industry. Kyle left InFurniture in September, 2005, to join NAPCO to launch Home Furnishings Business. "As an original member of the launch team of InFurniture, I am pleased to be able to combine the two great loves of my professional life," Kyle said. "Although Home Furnishings Business will continue to put out the same relevant, retail-focused content we have become known for, it is heartwarming to be able to keep the spirit of InFurniture alive in our book." Sheila Long O'Mara, editor in chief of Home Furnishings Business and former executive editor of InFurniture, said the best of the former magazine's editorial content will be refocused for use in Home Furnishings Business to provide retailers with InFormation to help them better run their businesses.
