Leading Printing Executives to be Inducted into Hall of Fame

Four to enter Printing Impressions/RIT Printing Industry Hall of Fame

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE (Philadelphia, PA - July 2001) -- Four exceptional commercial printing executives will be inducted into the Printing Impressions/Rochester Institute of Technology Printing Industry Hall of Fame at the 14th Annual Gold Ink Awards Reception and Banquet, to be held September 10, 2001, in the McCormick Place Grand Ballroom during PRINT 01, Chicago, IL. Martin H. Edwards is chairman of Edwards Brothers Inc., Ann Arbor, MI. Upon graduation from the University of Michigan in 1954, he worked with the United States Army Audit Agency for two years, then subsequently joined Edwards Brothers Inc. in 1954. Edwards is an active member of the Board of Trustees of Hillsdale College and the Advisory Board of Mackinac Center for Public Policy. He also has been an active member in the Book Manufacturing Institute, Printing Industries of America, Graphic Arts Technical Foundation, Society of Scholarly Publishers, University of Michigan Business School Alumni Society, Commercial Bank Ann Arbor Advisory Board, and in local parochial schools and politics.

Donald M. Duncanson is founder and chairman of the board of Dynacolor Graphics, Miami, FL. The beginning of his four decades of service started in the U.S. Navy after graduating high school. By chance, Duncanson found a job as a truck driver and bindery helper for a nine-person printing company. After staying with the company for 10 years, he ultimately became vice president of manufacturing and part owner of the company. In 1970, the company was sold and Duncanson founded Dynacolor Graphics. Today, as chairman of Dynacolor, he oversees the state-of-the-art plant. His distinguished career affiliations include chairman of NAPL's board of directors, board member of the Graphic Arts Show Company and Graphic Arts Research and Education Foundation, NAPL's Soderstrom Society, The Printing Association of Florida, founder and chairman of the Graphics of the Americas trade show and twice received the Ben Franklin Award in addition to the Graphics Arts Leaders of the Americas Award.

Gerald A. Henseler, Banta Corporation executive vice president and CFO, is a 35-year printing industry veteran. He joined Menasha, WI-based Banta in 1966 as accounting manager, having spent the previous four years as a certified public accountant with Arthur Andersen & Co. He was elected to the Banta Corporation board of directors in 1982 and was promoted to CFO in 1985, senior vice president in 1989, and executive vice president in 1992. Henseler's industry achievements include membership on the Printing Industries of America's Magazine Printers Section and its Finance Group; and officer and director positions for the Graphic Arts Technical Foundation, including service as GATF chairman from 1990-2000.

John C. Fosmire is general manager of the Mail-Well Inc. California Region and president of Anderson Lithograph in Los Angeles, CA. A fifth generation printer, Fosmire joined Anderson in 1961 as an apprentice stripper. During his 40 years of service, he served as foreman, general manager, vice president and, ultimately, president in May 1983. Before Anderson Lithograph was purchased by Mail-Well in 1998, Fosmire held the position of chairman of the board of directors and owner. He also served on the board of directors of the Southern California Section of the Printing Industries of America. Fosmire was named the 1998 Printing Industry Association of Southern California (PIASC) Executive of the Year. In addition to his printing achievements, he has also been active in and honored by charitable organizations, including the Casa Youth Shelter and St. Mary's Medical Center.

The Printing Industry Hall of Fame is co-sponsored by Printing Impressions magazine and the Rochester Institute of Technology School of Printing Management and Sciences.
