Top Publishing Executives To Judge 18th Gold Ink Awards

The process of selecting judges for the 18th annual Gold Ink Awards print competition is under way, with judging to begin on Friday, May 20, 2005.

Among the publishing executives who will be serving as judges for the 2005 print competition are:

* Greg Captain, manager, The New Yorker imaging center, Conde Nast Publications
* Jane Chero, vice president, production, North American Publishing Co.
* Harris Fogel, chairman, media arts department, University of the Arts
* Peggy Foxman, director of print production, Toys R Us
* Charles Hames, production manager, NYU Press
* Matthew Hollerbush, senior lecturer, University of the Arts
* Robert M. Hoover, operations supervisor, manufacturing department, Hearst Magazines
* Donna Loyle, editor-in-chief, Catalog Success magazine
* Gina Montemurro, production manager, North American Publishing Co.
* Gretchen Morris, catalog manager, Edmund Industrial Optics
* Jennifer Pezanowski, senior graphic designer, TV Guide
* Lisa Woodard, director/creative services, Lenox Collections
* ... among many other top executives from other prestigious publishing organizations.

The judging process will take place over the course of several days, during which judges will analyze approximately 1,500 entries for their production/manufacturing and aesthetic quality. Winners will be featured in the September/October issue of PrintMedia and BookTech Magazine, the September issue of Printing Impressions, as well as honored at the Gold Ink Awards and Hall of Fame gala in Chicago, during Print '05, on Monday, Sept. 12.

The "early entry deadline" was Friday, April 15, but entries can be submitted until May 18 with a $10 late fee per entry.
