About North American Publishing Company

North American Publishing Company (NAPCO) was established in 1958.

NAPCO successfully operates magazines, trade shows and online services for the various markets it serves.

Currently, the Company operates 16 magazines, 22 e-mail newsletters, 2 subscription services and 2 trade shows and employs over 150 people. Corporate Headquarters are located in Philadelphia. Sales personnel are located in New York, Chicago and throughout the country.

NAPCO's first publication, Printing Impressions, is today the most influential journal for printing and graphic arts worldwide. When Printing Impressions was initially begun over 50 years ago, the company had just four employees. NAPCO's growth and vitality reflects a philosophy that recognizes and values talented people who are seeking to grow with the Company. Promotion from within is favored, with the result that many of our staff have moved upward into key positions.

The Company continues to expand "organically" each year capitalizing on its strong financial footing (NAPCO is debt free), its lack of shareholder pressure (NAPCO is a family business) and its willingness to invest by launching new products and services. Over a dozen new publications and services have been launched within the past few years with several more in the planning stage.

Many of the company's original publications were purchased from other publishing firms. None were profitable at the time of acquisition, and all required extensive restructuring and investment to move them into the prominent and sound positions they now enjoy. The balance of NAPCO's magazines, as well as its trade shows and on-line services were started by the Company.

Chairman and Founder Irvin J. Borowsky has long been involved in community and philanthropic endeavors. In addition to serving as officer/board member for many civic and educational organizations, Mr. Borowsky founded the American Interfaith Institute and The National Liberty Museum, located at 321 Chestnut Street upon his retirement from NAPCO.

Ned S. Borowsky, President and CEO, joined the company in 1983 to ensure continuity of management and growth in the coming decades. He has served as Board Chair of the Greater Philadelphia Foodbank, Vice Chair of Philabundance, The American Interfaith Institute and the United Way Executive Cabinet.
