Web Developer  LAMP Developers (full-time, contract) to work on exciting, new and evolving initiatives in a growing team environment. Ideal candidate designs and codes without the assistance of website design applications and creates easy to understand user interfaces. Candidates should have experience with interface design and understand usability issues.

Must be detail oriented with an ability to communicate effectively.  Must be able to work on multiple projects at one time.  Ability to work in a close team environment and interact/communicate with both technical and non-technical staff. Prior CMS experience preferred.  Understanding of W3 standards (CSS, HTML, XHTML and basic database design).

Additional skills preferred:

Familiarity with scripting languages (Javascript, Minifying techniques; Python, Ruby, Ajax); Object-oriented programming, XML (RSS, SOAP). Smarty Template experience. Familiarity with SQL (MSSQL, mySQL).

Editorial Intern  You'll have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience on both the print and Web sides of magazine publishing. No pay, but we're willing to work with your college/university to ensure you get college credits.

Duties may include:
--Interviewing sources and writing articles
--Proofreading and fact-checking
--Administrative tasks
--Helping with online newsletters
--Event-planning tasks
--Collecting and organizing high-resolution product images

The right candidates will leave with writing clips for their portfolio and an inside look at all the stages of magazine publishing.  We like: Creative minds, good organizational skills, and the ability to take direction and work independently.

Help Desk

Part-time (with potential to become full-time) HelpDesk technician to assist in daily helpdesk requests including printing problems,
password resets, virus scanning, etc. Must be proficient in Window XP, Microsoft Office and have experience troubleshooting printers, desktop and laptop computer problems. Candidate will perform regular system maintenance, apply patches and field tickets from our HelpDesk system and report on problems and fixes. Experience with the Mac is a plus. Candidate will be interacting directly with staff and must have good communication and interpersonal skills.

Marketing Coordinator

Creative individual with 2 to 3 years Marketing experience in a fast-paced environment. Excellent opportunity for the right person who knows how to get and keep control of concurrent projects, competing priorities and critical deadlines. Ideal candidate will have a take-charge attitude and a high level of personal motivation. You will need excellent communication skills toa ct as the liason between various departments to traffic print and digital promotions and assist in promotion and publicity of special marketing events. HTML and online Marketing experience a plus. Travel is required. Proven copy writing skills are a must (samples required). Great starting salary and excellent benefits.
