Content Marketing Specialist

We are seeking a Content Marketing Specialist who will assist our Director of Audience Development in content-driven initiatives meant to grow and develop our audience. This person will play a key role at NAPCO Media by working alongside various departments including Digital Strategy, Editorial, and Marketing.

The ideal candidate will be a savvy digital marketer who knows what it takes to develop an effective content marketing strategy. This role requires experience creating and executing both organic and paid content marketing strategies across digital platforms such as web, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Google, and more.


● Work with Editorial teams to optimize their social media presence and implement their social media strategy
● Increase adoption and performance of internal social media efforts
● Execute brand influencer social media strategy
● Stay up-to-date on the best practices and ongoing changes related to social media and search marketing
● Monitor SEO strategy for each brand and work with Editorial teams on implementation and optimization of existing content
● Review bulk website errors impacting SEO and provide solutions
● Create and distribute social media and SEO reports to key stakeholders
● Develop and implement campaigns to drive traffic and audience conversion for industry verticals utilizing paid channels such as Google Ads, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and more
● Use analytics tools to optimize campaigns and continually build an understanding of user behavior in each vertical
● Track and report on the success of both organic and paid social media and search efforts

Experience, Skills and Attributes for Success:

● 2+ years’ experience in a marketing or communications role, experience working in publishing/media is a plus
● Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and manage priorities
● Strong understanding of digital marketing concepts, social media & SEO best practices
● Experience using WordPress, Google Analytics, Google Search Console and SEMRush
● Familiarity with other CMS, SEO or social media tools is a plus
● Ability to utilize and identify emerging platforms for web, SEO and social media management/measuring
● Familiarity with social monitoring tools and channel specific tactics
● Proven ability to develop creative (ad copy, landing page copy and image selection) and strategy for banner and native ad campaigns optimized for conversion
● Experience using Google Ads, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn
● Willingness to learn and take on new challenges
● Strong communication skills
● Excellent writing and proofreading skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or related field
